I planned this hunt as an opportunity for my dad and I to fill our freezers and enjoy an outing together. I had read some poor reviews of the ranch, but was very impressed with the condition of the animals, the amount of game, and, most importantly, our guide, Steven. We came to shoot a couple of elk/hind cross cows and Steven delivered, ensuring we had a safe and enjoyable hunt. I will certainly be back in the future and will let others know that Lonesome Bull Ranch is NO BULL!

I was amazed at the number of exotic species available to hunt. We had originally planned a meat hunt only, but after the first day of hunting, the red stag bulls were too tempting to pass up. I was able to shoot a red stag hind, which ran into the thick Texas brush, and was almost impossible to find. Steven got his Catahoula leopard, “deer finding dog,” Lucy, and within 5 minutes, she had found the kill. That made my day. Later, in the evening hunt, my son, Charlie, was able to harvest a nice red stag bull. He made a perfect shot, and it dropped after about 50 feet. We got our meat hunt, and a trophy hunt, also. The overall ranch set up is perfect for larger or smaller groups and the lodge is very spacious and was clean. Steven was very fun to hunt with, and very accommodating to our needs. We are looking forward to our next trip, in 2018.

I just finished up a huge meat hunt and it was awesome!!!! Steve, Shawn, and pops are the best people you could ever meet!! They went over and beyond to make the best of experience for us and they know their stuff about the animals!! This is the second time I’ve been to the ranch the first guy guide was good but Steve and his crew were the best! I will be going back!!!!

We had a great time with a huge group. Killed all kinds of animals and had so much fun with the staff. Steven Eichler is so good at his job, one of the main reasons we had such a great time. We had 13 people, and Steven handled everything to a “T.”

I recently was able to harvest a great trophy Oryx thanks to Steven Eichler ,and guide Denver Eichler. They made my hunt and stay at the ranch a great experience. The accommodations are awesome and his knowledge of the ranch and animals made for a great hunt. The ranch has some phenomenal animals!!
