The Barasingha is a swamp deer and they love water. They are orangy and brown in color but often covered in mud. We are one of the few ranches that have Barasingha harvest permits which you will need when you go to your taxidermist. Also the owner of the ranch holds the record for #1 Barasingha ever harvested. Here at the Lonesome Bull Ranch we have the largest Barasingha in world and our genetic comes from the same ranch the Lonesome Bull Ranch owner hunted his #1 Barasingha at.

Interesting Barasingha Hunting Information

The Barasingha, also called swamp deer, is a deer species distributed in the Indian subcontinent. Populations in northern and central India are fragmented, and two isolated populations occur in southwestern Nepal. It is extinct in Pakistan and Bangladesh.

You may harvest our Trophy Barasingha Deer using any method you prefer, including Spot and Stalk, Bow Hunting, Rifle Hunting, Pistol Hunting, Safari Style, or from a Blind. Our Barasingha are free ranging on over 2600 acres of South Texas Brush Country!

    We have full kitchen, cable TV, ice and a fire pit at your disposal. If a chef/cook is requested the usual rate (depending on how many in your group) starts at $125 per day for a group of 4 and up to $295 per day for a group of 20+ plus the price of groceries.
